M&S wins light-up gin battle

M&S has won a widely publicised registered design infringement case against Aldi, in respect of its light-up gin bottles. See e.g., The Telegraph here and The Daily Mail here.

It is rare for registered design cases to go to Court, and the judgment is the latest word on the interpretation of registered designs and the relevance of the grace period to infringement.

Daniel Selmi acted for M&S. The judgment can be found here.
