Stuart Baran will next Thursday 20 June 2024 be giving an invited keynote lecture at the Faculty of Jurisprudence in La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. He will address the patentability of AI-generated inventions, particularly in light of the UK Supreme Court’s decision in Thaler v. HM Comptroller-General. In Thaler, Stuart successfully represented the Comptroller, acting unled, at every instance from the Patents Court up to the Supreme Court.
At La Sapienza, Stuart is being hosted by Prof.ssa Giuliana Scognamiglio and Asst. Prof. Antonio Capizzi. Following his lecture, there will be responsive presentations by scholars from La Sapienza and the University of Perugia.
