Denise McFarland will be leading a fire-side chat discussion on the subject of “Celebrating women in Oral Advocacy”.

To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March 2026, Denise will be speaking at an upcoming event hosted by Mewburn Ellis on Thursday 26 March 2026 at Bishopsgate, London.

The discussion will turn the spotlight on the underrepresentation of women as oral advocates in forums such as the UPC, EPO and UK courts, exploring why this persists and what practical steps may help create more balanced opportunities.

Denise will share her experiences and perspectives on the barriers that exist, and how individuals and organisations can contribute to meaningful change.

The discussion will be followed by Italian wines and French grape juices from Jonesy Wines, a female-led business championing small-batch producers.
