The 19th edition of the the leading practitioners’ text on patent law, “Terrell on the Law of Patents”, has been published by Sweet & Maxwell, with contributions from twelve Members of Chambers.
Since the 18th edition was published in 2016, UK patent law has seen some significant developments. To mention but a few, the Infringement chapter has made room for an analysis of the Supreme Court’s decision in Actavis v Eli Lilly on infringement by equivalents; the Threats chapter has addressed the new provisions on threats introduced by the Intellectual Property (Unjustified Threats) Act 2017; and the FRAND chapter has dealt with the landmark Unwired Planet v Huawei and Conversant v ZTE and Huawei FRAND decisions (for which we await a Supreme Court ruling).
The book can be purchased online in Hardback or eBook form from the Sweet & Maxwell website here or from legal bookshops.
