contractual terms

From 3 November 2014, instructions will be accepted on the basis of our standard terms which are available here.

A copy of the contractual terms upon which instructions were accepted prior to 3 November 2014 can be found here.

Complaints procedure

Chambers prides itself in practicing to the highest professional standards of the English Bar. However, occasionally problems may arise. These may be discussed informally with the clerks or the barrister concerned at any time. Chambers also has a formal complaints procedure which is available by clicking here.

Cross Recruits

3 New Square advertises for applications from established practitioners from time to time. Such announcements will generally appear in Counsel magazine. Outside of these times any established practitioners wishing to express an interesting joining 3 New Square are invited to write to the Head of Chambers.

Equal opportunities

It is our policy to treat everyone equally and fairly.   We assess candidates for pupillage and tenancy on merit alone, without reference to their race, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, citizenship, sex, gender re-assignment, sexual orientation, marital or civil partnership status, disability, age, religion or belief or pregnancy and maternity.

In December 2015, all members of chambers and staff were invited to provide Diversity Data in response to a questionnaire.  Because of the small size of chambers, there are only a small number of people in each diversity characteristic which gives rise to a real risk of identification of individuals.  For that reason, chambers has decided to publish a summary of the data collected from those who responded in relation to only a subset of the diversity characteristics.
